3/3/2010-Thanks to everyone who has sent e-mails volunteering for EXPO. We are all set for 2010. The sign-up for 2011 will be on-site at the Information Booth. We have a great list of volunteers, some new and some returning, thanks again to everyone. jl
2/23/10-Register today, on-line registrtion is open! CLick here to start your registration. https://www.maas-maemt-emsexpo.org/portaltools/login.cfm
2/20/2010- The brochure is now available on-line. We are planning on opening on-line registration on Wednesday, February 24. Take this time to look at the brochure and decide what classes you would like to take or need, print page 23 and check them off. Wet N'Wild with Bill Justice is limited to 32 and there is $10 pool liability fee for the course ( this fee goes to the facility). Sorry.... but register early if you want to the Water Trauma class, Bill's classes fill up rather quickly.
On page 5 of the brochure you will notice the Class Schedule Summary has been reworked, let us know how you like it. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook. jl
2/19/2010 - The 2010 EMS EXPO brochure is being delivered to the Post Office today. We mail the brochure to the State list of all licensees. If your address is correct on the State list you should receive a brochure. The brochures are sent at the standard flat rate, it is not first class. So if you have moved, even with a forwarding address, the brochure will not be forwarded to your new address.
We hope to have the brochure on-line with on-line registration available by February 24.
For Facebook users, be sure to follow us on Facebook and sign up as a Fan of Michigan EMS EXPO. If you don't use Facebook, then we will try to keep you updated here. - BPL
1/13/2010-The finishing touches are being put on the brochure as I write and we hope to have it in the mail by January 30. Sometimes I think the "hurrier" we go the "behinder" we get. We have some great speakers this year. Bill Justice will be back with his water class, a day of practicals and lectures plus other favorite Michigan and National speakers, some who you were introduced to last year. I am busy adding the speakers to the web site and hope to have it completed this weekend.
Have you become a Facebook Fan? EXPO is celebrating it's 35th year. If you would like to share a "remember when" put it on Facebook. We will send an e-mail when the brochure is mailed and when on-line registration opens. JL
10/5/2009-Wow! Summer is over, I hope this October is like last year. I went up the Grand River from Grand Haven several times and it was beautiful; the color, nice weather, fresh air, and very few boats, my kind of day.
But... it is time to think EXPO. The education class schedule is just about finished and we have some great classes lined up with some interesting twists. As soon as possible we will publish the info, we have a few i's to dot and t's to cross, please bear with us.
When you call the office you will hear a semi-familar voice. Anne Bengel has replaced Theresa as a full time staff member. Anne has been working part time during EXPO since 2000. Welcome Anne! Theresa has returned to school and will continue to work as her hours permit.
If you are a MAEMT member you should have received the electronic Fall Edition of Vital Signs, we devoted a whole page to EXPO. Check it out.-jl
